Compass Tenders Builds Drive-In Limousine for 87.7m ANGELIQUE

Drive-in dock changes how the limousine tender is handled

Compass Tenders has detailed the 8.7-metre limousine tender built for ANGELIQUE, the 87.7-metre Turquoise Yachts flagship previously known as Project Vento. The tender is stowed inside a drive-in dock at the mothership’s stern, allowing guests to embark before the craft is deployed.

Compass says the arrangement is a first for the company in this form. Instead of lifting the limousine from a conventional garage before boarding, the drive-in concept integrates tender loading more closely with the yacht’s beach-club and stern architecture.

H2 design language carries from mothership to tender

Compass collaborated with H2 Yacht Design, which created both the exterior and interior design of ANGELIQUE. The limousine uses styling cues from the mothership, including the shape of the coachroof, glazing and air intakes, so the tender reads as part of the same design family.

The link is more than cosmetic because the tender had to work within the dimensional and operational constraints of the stern dock. Matching the mothership therefore required the styling, structure, boarding arrangement and stowed dimensions to be resolved together rather than treating the craft as an independent production tender.

12 guests travel at up to 32 knots

The enclosed limousine is arranged for 12 passengers plus two crew and measures 2.8 metres in beam. Compass lists a top speed of 32 knots from a single 370hp Yanmar 8LV engine driving a Hamilton HJX27 waterjet.

Draft is just 0.55 metres and displacement is listed at about 4,200kg. Those figures support the tender’s intended role in guest transfers, where shallow-water access and comfortable high-speed operation can matter as much as the maximum speed itself.

Landing craft forms the second half of the tender package

The limousine is paired with a 10-metre landing craft for ANGELIQUE, giving the mothership two craft with deliberately different jobs. One prioritises enclosed guest transport, while the other is intended to support beach operations, equipment movement and more practical day-to-day use.

ANGELIQUE was delivered in 2026 as the largest yacht built by Turquoise Yachts to date. Her drive-in tender dock was designed into the mothership from the outset, showing how custom tenders increasingly have to be considered as part of the parent yacht’s naval architecture rather than selected after the main design is complete.
