Dutch decking specialist Esthec is expanding into the US marine market with local stock, service and support for yacht builders and refit projects.
Dutch yacht-decking specialist Esthec is expanding its direct presence in the United States, using IBEX 2026 as the launch platform for a broader American-market push. The company is bringing its full Nautical range to the market with local stock and service support in Miami, following installations on large-yacht projects including the 111-metre Oceanco Leviathan.
Esthec says its American expansion will be supported by stock and service capability in Miami. The move is designed to give US boatbuilders, yards and refit teams faster access to decking material and technical support.
For custom yacht projects, local availability can be significant because deck installation often sits on a critical path between fabrication, finishing and delivery. Reducing logistics uncertainty can make scheduling easier for both new-build and refit programmes.
Esthec Nautical Decking is a thermoset composite made without wood or PVC. The company lists a weight of approximately 7.6 kilograms per square metre, R11 slip resistance, low maintenance requirements and a broad range of colours and seam options.
The material is manufactured in the Netherlands and is designed to provide consistent appearance and dimensional stability. Its relatively low weight also makes it relevant to performance-sensitive yacht projects where deck mass can affect design targets.
Esthec’s superyacht track record includes installations on major custom projects, with the company highlighting the 111-metre Oceanco Leviathan among recent references. Bespoke colours and prefabricated detailing allow the deck treatment to be integrated into the wider yacht design.
That experience gives the US expansion a direct link to the large-yacht market rather than positioning the product solely in production boating. Builders and designers can specify the same material system across complex exterior spaces and custom deck patterns.
The company is presenting the US-market initiative at IBEX 2026, one of North America’s main marine manufacturing exhibitions. The show provides direct access to builders, technical teams and component buyers ahead of the next production cycle.
Esthec’s move also reflects stronger competition among alternative decking systems as yards look for durable materials with predictable supply, lower maintenance and reduced dependence on natural teak. The US operation gives the company a closer commercial base for that market.
