Technical training, construction methods and marine-system integration will take a prominent place at the 2026 International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference in Tampa. The organiser is promoting more than 50 education sessions across ten tracks for the 6–8 October event, with longer pre-conference training taking place on Monday 5 October.
The curriculum is relevant beyond the production-boat market: superyacht designers, electrical contractors, suppliers and refit teams often have to resolve the same installation, inspection and manufacturing questions on a larger, custom platform. None of the scheduled discussions should be mistaken for approval of an individual product or yacht system.
The official programme divides seminar content into construction methods and materials; design and engineering; emerging topics; leadership; management policy; marina and boatyard operations; marine electrical systems; onboard systems; survey and repair; and sustainability. That structure lets visitors plan around real projects rather than only attending a general exhibition presentation.
A refit manager considering a new onboard component can use the curriculum to compare installation practice with the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable class requirements.
