47.5m Feadship KASSANDRA Joins Resale Market at €10.6 Million VAT Paid

Feadship Resale is offering the 47.5-metre KASSANDRA at an asking price of €10.6 million VAT paid, after adding the 1989 yacht to its portfolio earlier this month. The yacht completed a comprehensive refit in 2022 and is represented in joint central agency with Dimitris Kalafatis of Flagship Yachts, with viewings available by appointment in Greece.

A classic Feadship with recent technical work

KASSANDRA was delivered in 1989 as hull 756 and retains the full-displacement steel construction associated with Feadship yachts of that era. The 2022 refit included significant technical and interior upgrades, giving the current sales proposition a more recent maintenance baseline than the original delivery date alone would suggest.

A refit does not remove the need for detailed survey and document review, particularly on a yacht approaching four decades of service. Buyers would normally examine class status, machinery history, structural records, electrical systems and the scope of the 2022 work before relying on the published specification.

Seven staterooms create an unusual accommodation plan

The current Feadship listing records seven staterooms and accommodation for twelve guests, including a full-beam master suite on the main deck. That cabin count gives KASSANDRA more flexibility than many yachts of comparable length and can support family use, mixed guest groups or continued commercial operation.

Luigi Sturchio is credited with the interior, while Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects is listed for both naval architecture and exterior design. Outdoor areas are distributed across four decks, including a large sun deck, aft dining space and a separate forward seating area.

Long-range capability remains part of the brief

Feadship publishes a cruising range of 4,600 nautical miles and records twin Caterpillar 3516 TA main engines. The yacht's large fuel capacity and displacement platform were developed for extended cruising rather than the higher speeds associated with modern aluminium performance yachts.

Published range remains a specification figure rather than a guarantee for every passage. Weather, speed, hull condition, machinery load and hotel demand all affect real-world consumption, so current operating data would be important during technical due diligence and sea trials.

Feadship is handling the resale directly

KASSANDRA is being marketed through Feadship Resale, which gives the builder a direct role in presenting the yacht's history and technical background to potential buyers. The yard says its resale programme is intended to keep Feadship knowledge connected to yachts as they pass between owners.

The €10.6 million figure is the current asking price and may change without notice, while the eventual transaction value could differ materially. A purchase would remain subject to inspection, survey, title checks, contract negotiations and confirmation of VAT and equipment status.
