Dubai builder Grandweld is presenting a dedicated Grandar yacht range with 60m and 65m designs, distinct layouts for large families and published long-range specifications.
Dubai-based Grandweld Shipyards is presenting Grandar, a dedicated yacht brand backed by its commercial and offshore shipbuilding operation. The public portfolio includes the Grandar 60 and Grandar 65, although the published designs do not by themselves establish signed build contracts, launched hulls or delivery dates.
Grandar describes its design direction as oriented towards Gulf family life, including large gatherings, privacy and facilities for cruising between seasonal destinations. The brand identifies Grandweld Yachts as Grandweld Shipyards' dedicated superyacht division, placing the new yacht programme within an existing Dubai industrial operation rather than presenting it as a delivered fleet.
The proposed 60-metre model is specified at 1,100 gross tonnes, with a 10.2-metre beam, 12 guests in six cabins and 16 crew in nine cabins. Grandar publishes a maximum speed of 15 knots and a range of 5,500 nautical miles at 11 knots, figures that remain design specifications until supported by sea-trial data for an actual hull.
Azure is identified as naval architect and Dobroserdov Design as exterior designer, with the interior designer still to be confirmed. The published arrangement includes large majlis and dining spaces, a dedicated owner area, a spa, a gym and a proposed helicopter deck, but any eventual build will require approved plans and the relevant aircraft-operating permissions.
The larger design is advertised at 65 metres, 2,400 gross tonnes and a 16-metre beam, with accommodation for 16 guests in eight cabins, four additional staff and 19 crew. Grandar quotes a 14-knot maximum and a 6,000-nautical-mile range at ten knots, alongside steel-and-aluminium construction and Bureau Veritas classification in its published specification.
A separate owner area, dining for 24, a prayer room, gym, cinema, spa and swimming pool distinguish the proposed layout. The brand's specifications include a certified helipad in the design, but that wording should not be mistaken for certification of a yacht that has already been built.
The brand also previews a Grandar 40 Ark platform, with a world premiere advertised for November 2026, and outlines Heritage and Executive variations. Those are additional offerings in its marketing material, not confirmation of production orders or completed vessels.
Owners assessing the designs should request current general arrangements, pricing, a build schedule, machinery specifications and any class-approved documentation directly from the yard. Superyacht Guide will report contracts, steel cutting, launch and delivery as separate milestones when the builder publicly verifies them.
