ISA Yachts has unveiled the 86m Amarcord 86, the second Nuvolari Lenard interpretation of its new Large Yacht Collection for bespoke 80–90m superyachts.
ISA Yachts has unveiled the 86-metre Amarcord 86, the second interpretation of the shipyard's new ISA Large Yacht Collection. Designed by Nuvolari Lenard, the project has a beam of 13.6 metres and is intended to show how an established technical platform can support yachts with substantially different personalities, architecture and approaches to life at sea.
The new concept follows the launch of the Large Yacht Collection in July 2026, when ISA introduced the programme for fully customised superyachts between 80 and 90 metres. Rather than presenting a conventional series of closely related models, ISA says the collection combines a proven engineering foundation with the freedom to develop each yacht around an individual owner's requirements.
Amarcord 86 extends the collection to an overall length of 86 metres and a maximum beam of 13.6 metres. ISA has presented the design as a project centred on the onboard experience, using the scale of the platform to explore a different architectural expression rather than simply enlarging the earlier Amarcord concept.
The shipyard has not yet published a full technical specification for Amarcord 86, so details such as propulsion, gross tonnage, accommodation and performance remain unconfirmed. What ISA has fixed at this stage is the project's overall size, its Nuvolari Lenard design authorship and its role as the second interpretation of the Large Yacht Collection.
ISA launched the Large Yacht Collection on 30 July 2026 with Amarcord 82 as its first project. The programme is dedicated to yachts in the 80-to-90-metre range and is built around what the shipyard describes as a consolidated engineering platform that can be adapted to individual briefs.
ISA explicitly says the collection is not a range of predetermined models. Each project is intended to be developed around the way its owner lives at sea, receives guests and spends time on board, with the technical platform providing a known foundation rather than dictating a fixed exterior profile or internal arrangement.
Nuvolari Lenard is again responsible for the design, continuing the studio's involvement in the Amarcord programme while giving the 86-metre project its own architectural identity. ISA describes Amarcord 86 as evidence that the same technical basis can be transformed into projects that differ markedly in personality, architecture and their relationship with life on the water.
That approach gives ISA two distinct examples with which to demonstrate the Large Yacht Collection concept. Amarcord 82 established the programme, while Amarcord 86 now shows how the platform can be reinterpreted at a different scale and around a different onboard experience without turning the collection into a conventional production series.
ISA says the Large Yacht Collection draws on Palumbo Superyachts' experience constructing yachts up to 100 metres. The aim is to place established engineering beneath a full-custom design process, giving owners a technical starting point while preserving substantial freedom over the yacht's layout, style and use.
With Amarcord 86, ISA is therefore extending the collection through another individual design rather than adding a fixed model to a catalogue. The confirmed 86-metre length, 13.6-metre beam and Nuvolari Lenard design establish the project's current identity, while further technical and construction details remain to be announced by the shipyard.
