Marina Port Valencia is using SailGP, Cannes, Monaco and its autumn show calendar to strengthen a marina project capable of accommodating yachts up to 130m.
Marina Port Valencia is preparing for an unusually busy autumn as it uses a sequence of international events to raise its profile across the Mediterranean yachting market. The programme combines major activity on the Valencia waterfront with appearances at Cannes and Monaco, giving the marina repeated exposure to owners, captains, brokers and other industry professionals over the next two months.
The campaign begins in Valencia with the Spain Sail Grand Prix on 5 and 6 September, bringing SailGP's F50 foiling catamarans and international teams to the city's waterfront. Marina Port Valencia says the event is part of a wider effort to place Valencia at the centre of high-profile marine activity rather than treating the waterfront as a venue used only for individual regattas.
October extends that programme with a round of the 52 SUPER SERIES from 5 to 10 October, followed by the Valencia Boat Show from 28 October to 1 November. Together, those events give the marina a concentrated run of sporting, commercial and public-facing activity as it develops the wider Marina Port Valencia project.
Marina Port Valencia will also take the project directly to two of the Mediterranean's most important autumn yacht shows. Its team is due at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 from 8 to 13 September and at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026 from 23 to 27 September, using both events to build relationships and present Valencia to the international yachting industry.
That presence gives the autumn programme a stronger commercial dimension than the local event calendar alone would provide. Rather than waiting for yacht traffic to discover the city, Marina Port Valencia is taking its berth proposition into the European sales, brokerage and operations network at the point when Mediterranean activity begins shifting from summer cruising toward shows, refit planning and winter berthing decisions.
The superyacht relevance is supported by the marina's own infrastructure programme. In an April project update, Marina Port Valencia said Marina Norte can receive yachts up to 130 metres, Marina Sur covers yachts from 6 to 115 metres and Marina City is designed for yachts from 12 to 130 metres, including dedicated berths for yachts between 24 and 60 metres.
The same Marina Port Valencia release lists 24-hour security, fuel supply, parking and environmental management among the services associated with the project. Those capabilities put the development firmly beyond a small-boat event venue and position Valencia as a potential base for large-yacht calls, seasonal berthing and professional yacht activity.
The autumn schedule therefore matters less as a list of individual events than as a coordinated attempt to make Valencia more visible within Mediterranean yachting. SailGP and the 52 SUPER SERIES bring attention to the waterfront, while Cannes, Monaco and the Valencia Boat Show provide commercial touchpoints with the wider industry.
For Marina Port Valencia, the test will be whether that visibility translates into sustained yacht traffic and industry relationships after the show season ends. The infrastructure is capable of handling genuine superyacht-scale vessels, and the 2026 autumn campaign is designed to make that capacity better known to the international market.
