Raymarine Axiom chartplotters can now monitor and control compatible Smartgyro stabilizers through a native LightHouse interface.
Raymarine has added Smartgyro stabilizer integration to compatible Axiom multifunction displays running the LightHouse operating system. Owners and crew can now monitor and control supported gyro stabilizers directly from the same interface used for navigation and other onboard systems.
The integration is delivered through Raymarine’s native web-app framework rather than requiring a separate dedicated display. That allows bridge designers to consolidate another system into the central helm without losing access to Smartgyro operating information.
The Smartgyro interface uses a standards-compliant HTML5 application within LightHouse, which allows the control page to run on the Axiom display through the vessel network. Raymarine says the approach keeps the integration lightweight while preserving the specialist functionality of the stabilizer system.
For new builds and refits, this can reduce the number of individual screens installed around a helm station. It also creates a more consistent operating environment for crew moving between navigation, monitoring and comfort systems during normal yacht operation.
Gyro stabilizers have traditionally been managed through their own local displays, even when other vessel functions had already moved into multifunction systems. The new connection reflects the wider move toward integrated bridge environments where specialist equipment remains independent but is accessible from common screens.
For yacht owners, the practical benefit is faster access to stabilizer status and control without moving between multiple interfaces. For installers, the integration offers another route to simplify dashboard layouts while retaining manufacturer-specific functions behind the display layer.
