Superyacht Summit Türkiye 2026 Approaches in Istanbul

Superyacht Summit Türkiye 2026 is moving closer, with the fourth edition scheduled for 4–5 November at The Peninsula Istanbul. The organisers are positioning the two-day meeting as a senior international forum for the issues shaping yacht building, brokerage, ownership, finance, destinations and the wider commercial structure of the superyacht market.

The published programme brings together speakers from shipyards, brokerage houses, finance, law, design, registries, media and luxury services. SST says the agenda is still under development and remains subject to change, with additional speakers, moderators and programme elements expected to be announced before the event opens in Istanbul.

The summit has grown into a recurring meeting point for Türkiye’s superyacht sector and international participants. According to SST, its first three editions hosted more than 1,100 industry professionals from 26 countries and featured 64 speakers across panels, keynotes and masterclasses.

Market direction and project delivery move to the foreground

One of the opening themes will examine what the 2026 market revealed and what that may mean for 2027. The session is framed around the widening gap between more resilient parts of the market and areas where momentum has weakened, with longer build slots, rising costs, client priorities and confidence all forming part of the discussion.

Published speakers for that market session include Alain Auvare of Fraser and Arnaud de Gordon of UBS Switzerland. The organisers say the panel will consider recent transactions, order books and the major 2026 yacht shows, while also asking whether Türkiye’s continued growth now places it in a different tier of the global yacht-building market.

Project execution is another major strand of the agenda, with a panel dedicated to the route from contract through delivery on complex yacht projects. The discussion is expected to cover specification and general-arrangement decisions, technical reviews, sea trials, certification, delivery and warranty support, with particular attention to where long projects lose momentum and how stronger governance can keep stakeholders aligned.

Efe Ülken of Ülken Law Firm is listed as moderator for the project-delivery discussion, alongside Phil Noad of the Cayman Islands Shipping Registry, Ben Geary of Döhle Yachts, David Legrand of Fraser and Devrim Gundogan of RMK Marine. Luxury, destination strategy and the owner experience

SST is also looking beyond conventional yacht-industry subjects with a session asking what yachting can learn from major luxury brands. The organisers describe a market in which fashion, hospitality, automotive and aviation businesses increasingly build direct relationships through communities, creators, membership models and highly personalised experiences, while warning that yachting cannot simply copy those sectors.

Enes Yilmazer and Samuel Bolton of Quintessentially are among the published participants for that discussion. The emphasis is on how yacht businesses can create stronger cultural relevance and deeper client relationships without losing the qualities that make the sector distinctive.

A separate session will address Mediterranean dynamics and the making of a luxury destination. SST says the panel will consider how movement across the Eastern Mediterranean and Gulf changed during the 2026 season, and how marina capacity, service quality, connectivity, hospitality and cultural relevance increasingly combine to determine whether a destination works for large-yacht clients.

That destination discussion is directly relevant to Türkiye’s own position within the regional cruising and service network. SST identifies Dilek Seven Tan of Kiyi Marina and Jose Marco Casellini of M3 Monaco among the speakers, with the wider programme using Istanbul itself as a setting for examining how maritime infrastructure and luxury hospitality interact.

Design, brokerage and long-term value

Interior longevity is another subject on the published programme, framed around the question of whether yachts are being designed for the second owner as well as the first. The session is expected to consider how far personalisation can go before it affects resale flexibility, how interiors can absorb technological change and whether durability should become a more meaningful measure of sustainability.

Tamara M. Madra is listed as moderator, with Cana Gökhan of Red Yacht Design, Luca Dini and Ozger Sarikaya of Ulutas Interior among the participants. The subject links design decisions at delivery with future ownership, resale and refit requirements, moving the sustainability discussion beyond material selection alone.

Rather than presenting technology as a replacement for brokerage, the published framing asks which capabilities will distinguish businesses able to combine platforms, intelligence and advice effectively.

Türkiye’s shipyards remain central to the programme

The role of Turkish shipyards runs throughout the summit rather than being confined to a single national-industry panel. One session will look specifically at how owners, brokers, owner representatives and yards choose long-term project partners, asking how culture, communication, technical capability and trust influence the relationship before a contract is signed.

The programme also includes a dedicated discussion on the decisions behind Simena by ARES Yachts. Piraye Sahinkaya Orhun of ARES is listed as moderator with O. Tanju Kalaycioglu of TAKA Yacht Design, giving the summit a project-specific case study alongside its broader market and management discussions.

SST describes its wider mission as connecting international experience with local expertise while strengthening Türkiye’s role in the global superyacht industry. Its published partnership material says the 2026 edition is expected to draw more than 450 guests, over 30 speakers and participants from more than 25 countries across panels, keynotes, masterclasses, side events and exhibitors.

The Peninsula Istanbul provides the waterfront setting

The Peninsula Istanbul will host the 2026 summit on the Bosphorus, with the main programme scheduled across 4 and 5 November. The current agenda lists panels and networking from 09:00 to 18:00 on 4 November followed by a cocktail reception at 19:00, while further programme detail is continuing to develop.

The organisers have also published accommodation arrangements for attendees, including options at The Peninsula itself and nearby properties around the Galataport area. That practical planning, combined with the developing speaker list and agenda, indicates that SST 2026 is moving from announcement stage into the final run-up to the November gathering.
