Vitters has marked the keel laying of 68-metre Project 3095, a Hoek-designed hybrid ketch scheduled for delivery in 2026.
Vitters has marked the keel laying of Project 3095 with the owners and their team present at the yard. In keeping with yard tradition, the owner completed the first weld while Lloyd’s registered and stamped the construction with its project number.
The ceremony formally marks the point at which the yacht becomes a recognised build rather than a collection of prepared materials. It also starts the documented classification trail that will continue through construction.
The 68-metre ketch is designed by Hoek with long overhangs, classic exterior lines and traditional finishes. Bunny Williams is working on interior decoration alongside Hoek’s interior team.
The yacht will use a full hybrid propulsion and energy system intended to provide periods of emission-free operation. That technical package sits behind a design language that deliberately references classic sailing yachts.
Around 120 tonnes of aluminium are planned for the hull. Once the structure is complete, Project 3095 will move into a new production shed at the Zwartsluis yard for outfitting.
Delivery is scheduled for 2026 with Van Ineveld & Co representing the owners. The project is one of the largest current sailing builds at Vitters and an important reference for the yard’s expanding facilities.
