Vitters Launches Project 3093 MAGIC After 30-Month Build

MAGIC emerges from the Zwartsluis shed

Vitters has launched Project 3093 MAGIC after approximately 30 months of construction. The yacht was first moved into daylight at Zwartsluis before travelling to Amsterdam for launch and rigging.

Reichel Pugh developed the naval architecture, while Design Unlimited handled the interior design and Pieter Laureys led interior styling. The collaboration combines a performance-oriented platform with a highly customised interior brief.

Rig stepping marks the next technical phase

After launch, a 62-metre Southern Spars rig was stepped in Amsterdam. That milestone moves the yacht from structural completion into commissioning, sail-system setup and sea-trial preparation.

Large sailing yachts require careful alignment between rig, structure, controls and deck hardware before full-load testing begins. The first sailing trials are therefore a critical stage in proving the completed engineering package.

Delivery follows commissioning and trials

Vitters scheduled delivery after commissioning and sea trials in Amsterdam. The programme is intended to verify both sailing performance and the reliability of the yacht’s onboard systems before handover.

MAGIC adds another large custom sailing yacht to the Vitters fleet. The project also continues the yard’s close relationship with specialist designers and equipment suppliers around performance cruising.
