Astra Nord Unveils 65m CIAPPAIRA With Dual Pools and TAG Design

65m concept targets Astra Nord’s first superyacht build

Astra Nord and Monaco-based TAG – The A Group have developed CIAPPAIRA as a 65-metre ready-for-construction superyacht concept. If contracted, the yacht would become the first superyacht build for Astra Nord as the German Baltic facility develops its position around custom yachts and large-yacht refit work.

The concept is intended for 12 guests in six suites and places relaxed family use ahead of sheer internal volume. TAG is responsible for the styling, naval architecture and interior design, giving the project a single design direction from the hull form through to the guest spaces.

Two pools create different waterside spaces

The main saloon opens aft into another lounge and a pool measuring about 4.2 by 3.6 metres. This creates a direct progression from the principal interior living area to an outdoor waterside space rather than treating the aft deck as a separate zone.

A second pool is positioned lower down inside the beach-club area at the waterline. The wellness programme around it includes a sauna, hammam and gym, turning the stern into a sheltered retreat that can be used differently from the more exposed main-deck pool.

Stone transom reinforces the project identity

CIAPPAIRA takes its name from a secluded Mediterranean cove, and the designers have carried that reference into the yacht’s material language. A stone-finished transom is intended to give the stern a more architectural character while visually connecting the beach-club concept with the rocky landscape that inspired the name.

The wider design uses large glazed areas and a close relationship between interior and exterior spaces. That approach is aimed at creating a yacht that feels open and relaxed without relying on excessive height or heavily layered superstructure volumes.

Astra Nord positions for 65m-plus custom construction

Astra Nord is based at a former commercial shipbuilding facility on Germany’s Baltic coast and is targeting custom yacht construction from around 65 metres upward. The yard is also positioning the site for refit work in the same size range, giving the project a potential build location with commercial-shipyard infrastructure behind it.

CIAPPAIRA remains available for development with a future owner, so specifications can still evolve before a contract is signed. The concept nevertheless provides a clear first reference for the type of large custom yacht Astra Nord and TAG intend to pursue together.
