Baglietto CEO Diego Michele Deprati has received the 2026 Pioniere della Nautica award in the manager category. Confindustria Nautica presents the annual recognition to figures judged to have made a sustained contribution to the development of Italy’s marine industry.
The award was presented during SATEC 2026 at Borgo Egnazia in Puglia. Baglietto said the citation recognised Deprati’s strategic vision, management experience and role in strengthening the international position of Italian yacht building.
Deprati has spent more than 30 years in senior shipyard management, including earlier leadership at Mondomarine before joining Baglietto in 2012. He has since overseen a period of renewed investment, range development and growth at the historic La Spezia brand.
His tenure also included the integration of Cerri Cantieri Navali and Baglietto within the Gavio Group structure. That process helped consolidate production, management and commercial activity while maintaining separate identities for the group’s yachting brands.
In accepting the award, Deprati placed emphasis on the wider network of craftsmen, suppliers, technicians and engineers behind the Italian yacht sector. The message reflected the highly distributed nature of modern superyacht construction, where a shipyard depends on hundreds of specialist companies.
For Baglietto, the recognition arrives during a period of unusually high product activity. New launches, repeat sales and the expansion of the FAST, DOM and T lines have given the builder a broader order book while reinforcing its long-standing connection with La Spezia.
