Baglietto has sold the first Project53 to a returning customer for scheduled delivery in 2029, taking the shipyard’s reported 2026 yacht sales to five.
Baglietto announced on 17 September 2026 that it has sold the first Project53 to a returning customer, with delivery scheduled for 2029. The shipyard says the agreement brings its total number of yacht sales announced during 2026 to five, although the transaction price and the client's identity have not been disclosed.
The project uses a rounded 53-metre name, while Baglietto's own published model specification records an overall length of 52.5 metres and a gross tonnage of 499 GT. The order is for a future build and should not be described as a launch, delivery or completed sea trial.
Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design is responsible for the exterior and is also developing the interior concept. Baglietto's project materials show a vertical bow, extensive glazing and an aft arrangement organised over three connected levels leading towards the water.
The planned beach club includes a wellness area, while a skylounge designed to open on three sides and a large sundeck extend the living spaces. These details describe the shipyard's current project concept and may be adjusted during customisation for the commissioning owner.
The builder lists aluminium for both the hull and superstructure, a nine-metre beam, twin Caterpillar C32 engines and a published maximum speed of 16.5 knots. Its website also describes the platform as prepared for an optional hybrid propulsion installation combining batteries, variable-speed generators and electric motors.
An optional system is not evidence that the sold yacht has been specified with hybrid propulsion, and the final machinery arrangement has not been independently confirmed. As the build progresses, the key developments to verify will be construction milestones, the owner's selected configuration and the eventual delivery timetable.
