Northrop & Johnson has reduced the asking price of COMPASS ROSE by $1 million to $19.95 million. Its 26 October announcement identifies Alex Rogers as the listing broker for the 49.23-metre C & G Boatworks yacht; no completed transaction or achieved sale price is reported.
The broker describes an aluminium hull and superstructure, approximately 621 gross tons and a 36-foot beam. Those particulars place a substantial volume of accommodation and machinery within a yacht just below the 50-metre mark, without establishing a comparison with every larger expedition yacht.
Twin Caterpillar 3508B engines are listed at 1,050 horsepower each. Northrop & Johnson quotes 12-knot cruising, a 15-knot maximum and more than 9,000 nautical miles of range at 10 knots; the range figure is therefore tied to a slower operating speed.
The published machinery description includes three 100kW generators, two watermakers and extensive fuel-management equipment. Gravity-fed day tanks, a fuel centrifuge and double-hull fuel tanks are among the items identified, while deck soft patches provide crane access to the engine room.
The listed arrangement accommodates ten guests in five staterooms, with separate quarters for up to ten crew in five cabins. A king master, three queen VIP cabins and a twin cabin make up the guest configuration described by the broker.
Northrop & Johnson also lists a 42-foot Gamefisherman, a 30-foot Munson Pack Cat landing craft, a 20-foot Zodiac RIB and personal watercraft in the exploration inventory. Buyers should confirm the equipment included in a transaction and its current condition; the announcement’s asking price and technical particulars remain broker-supplied information.
