The 3.85m Geniuss HTS Cruiser 380 has made its Cannes debut in Jet form, combining Mercury jet propulsion with the company’s retracting outboard system for superyacht tender use.
Geniuss has introduced a Jet version of its 3.85-metre HTS Cruiser 380, positioning the compact craft for use as a superyacht tender as well as an independent boat for beaches, coves and shallow-water anchorages. The model made its world debut during the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival.
The new configuration combines Geniuss’s patented sliding outboard arrangement with Mercury Jet Power. The combination is intended to reduce the exposed machinery around the tender while improving access in water where a conventional propeller and lower unit would be vulnerable.
Geniuss’s HTS system uses a sliding support and folding transom that allow the outboard to move inboard. The manufacturer says this improves weight distribution during launch and recovery and can reduce the storage space needed aboard a mothership.
The system also removes the conventional outboard leg from the tender’s external profile when stowed. Operation can be manual or electro-hydraulic, with remote-control capability available depending on configuration.
The Cannes configuration uses a Mercury 40hp Jet Power unit based on a four-cylinder 995cc engine. Because propulsion is provided without a submerged propeller, the arrangement is designed for approaches to beaches and shallow coves where underwater clearance is restricted.
For superyacht operations, that extends the tender’s potential role beyond straightforward guest transfer. It can support shore access in locations where a propeller-driven tender may need to stop farther offshore.
The Cruiser 380 measures 3.85 metres overall with a maximum beam of 1.72 metres and capacity for five people. Geniuss lists the tender at 240kg dry before the engine, while the Mercury Jet Power unit adds a listed dry weight of 121kg.
The layout includes double helm seating, an additional seat integrated into the console and forward storage for the fuel system. The Jet version adds a distinct technical option to the Geniuss range following Callegari’s acquisition of the company earlier in 2026.
