Final race settles the sixth Ibiza JoySail

Ibiza JoySail 2026 concluded on 20 September with a reported 16-nautical-mile final race off Ibiza, completing an edition in which racing was interrupted by weather on the opening day. The final class standings now provide a substantive result beyond Superyacht Guide's earlier preview and day-three report.

The regatta brought together 19 sailing yachts across five classes, with racing routes incorporating Formentera and the waters near Es Vedrà. Final-day changes mattered especially in World Cruising, where the class winner was resolved on the concluding race rather than confirmed the evening before.

MOAT takes Performance for the sixth time

MOAT secured the Performance overall title for the sixth consecutive edition despite placing second in the concluding race behind GELLICEAUX, according to the event-results report. MOAT had already banked two first places, leaving the yacht ahead of GELLICEAUX and WINWIN in the overall performance standings.

The overall result should be distinguished from the finishing order of the final individual race, because those are different measurements of performance. MOAT's sixth consecutive title extends the five-title run reported after the 2025 event rather than representing six wins in a single edition.

Four different yachts win the cruising classes

WINWIN won Cruising 1 by one point over GELLICEAUX, with KALANTIS third, while CERVO finished first in all three Cruising 2 races ahead of BELLA and KIBOKO. POINT COUNTER POINT led the Cruising 3 overall standings ahead of ROSE and NEFERTITI, giving three separate class winners distinct paths to their titles.

In World Cruising, NOSTROMO's victory in the final race delivered the overall class title ahead of AURELIUS, with ATALANTE third. That late result is particularly important because the previous day's racing still left the World Cruising outcome undecided.

Next Ibiza JoySail dates confirmed for September 2027

The closing report gives 16–19 September 2027 as the dates for the next edition, which Superyacht Guide also lists on its 2027 event page. Any subsequent entries, race format and participating yachts must be checked with the organiser closer to the event rather than inferred from the 2026 fleet.

These results cover the five reported overall classes and should not be confused with every separately awarded Corinthian or owner-driver trophy.
