ISA Yachts Launches 79.82m BELITA as New Flagship

ISA Yachts has launched the 79.82-metre motor yacht BELITA at its Ancona facility, placing a new flagship at the head of the Italian builder’s fleet. At 2,220 GT, the Custom 80m is the second yacht of this size completed by parent company Palumbo Superyachts after the 80-metre Columbus Classic DRAGON.

The launch is a significant step for ISA’s large-yacht programme. BELITA combines a 12.5-metre beam with long-range capability and a fully bespoke design programme developed around the owner’s requirements.

Espen Øino International designed BELITA’s exterior lines, while Peter Marino Architect created the interiors and Hydro Tec developed the naval architecture. The profile uses long dark glazed surfaces and a relatively compact-looking superstructure despite the yacht’s substantial internal volume.

Towards the stern, the deck volumes step down into broad terraces and a pool area opening towards the sea. ISA says the interior has been developed as a completely bespoke project rather than around a standard production layout.

MTU power and 7,000-nautical-mile range

Propulsion comes from two MTU 16V 4000 M65L engines, each rated at 2,240 kW. The builder gives a maximum speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.

At an economical 10 knots, BELITA is expected to cover around 7,000 nautical miles. That range places the yacht firmly in long-distance cruising territory despite the emphasis on large exterior guest areas.

ISA moves further into the 80m-plus market

Palumbo Superyachts describes the second 80-metre build as evidence that yachts of this scale are becoming part of its established shipbuilding capability rather than one-off milestones. ISA also has projects extending to 100 metres within its current large-yacht portfolio.

BELITA’s launch is a new milestone distinct from the earlier construction and outfitting phase of the ISA Custom 80m project. The yacht now moves from build coverage into the active launch phase as ISA’s largest completed yacht.
