Lürssen has announced approximately €50 million of investment at its Rendsburg-North and Rendsburg-South sites over two years, with plans for 130 new jobs.
Lürssen has announced plans to invest approximately €50 million in its Rendsburg-North and Rendsburg-South shipyard operations over the next two years. In a company statement accompanying the opening of Hall 3 at Rendsburg-North on 16 September 2026, the shipbuilder said the wider programme is expected to create 130 additional jobs.
The announcement combines one completed facility milestone with several investments that remain planned or under way. It should not be understood as confirmation that all construction, dock work or recruitment has already been completed.
Lürssen says the newly opened Hall 3 at Schacht-Audorf will be used for sectional construction on forthcoming yacht projects. The programme also includes roofing a dock, a comprehensive overhaul of one floating dock and improvements to workshop machinery and staff facilities.
A new canteen and expanded infrastructure are planned across the Rendsburg operations, while the company's longer-term strategy includes the Rendsburg-South site. These investments relate to yard production capability and workforce support, not a newly disclosed contract for any particular yacht.
The German builder describes Rendsburg as a continuing part of its large-yacht production network, with the latest spending intended to support future work. Its existing location information identifies the wider Rendsburg operation as a specialist in custom yachts of approximately 55 to 110 metres, alongside refit and maintenance activity.
The announced 130 roles are a recruitment objective, not a verified current headcount increase, and the €50 million is an investment programme rather than a completed expenditure total. Actual implementation dates, job creation and production capacity should be checked against subsequent company updates.
