Palagi and Espen Øino Launch PEØ Superyacht Lighting Collection

Three luminaires open the new PEØ collection

Palagi Marine Lights and Espen Øino International have developed a new lighting collection aimed specifically at superyacht and megayacht projects. The first family comprises the PEØ 01, PEØ 02 and PEØ 03 luminaires, combining the design studio’s visual direction with Palagi’s engineering, manufacturing and research capabilities.

The companies describe the products as high-performance, certified and customisable rather than as decorative fittings alone. That distinction matters on large yachts, where lighting equipment has to satisfy technical, installation and durability requirements while remaining part of a tightly controlled interior and exterior design language.

Design studio and manufacturer move closer together

The collaboration brings a yacht designer into product development at an earlier stage than a conventional specification process. Espen Øino International contributes the design concept, while Palagi translates that work into marine-ready hardware that can be adapted for individual yacht programmes.

For shipyards and project teams, the result is intended to reduce the gap between a designer’s lighting intent and the physical equipment eventually installed on board. Palagi says the collection is built around customisation, giving designers and owners scope to coordinate finishes and applications with a yacht’s wider material palette.

Monaco event will present the partnership

Palagi plans to formally celebrate the collaboration at the Monaco Yacht Show on Thursday, 24 September, between 17:00 and 18:30. The company says visitors will be able to see the first products in the range and meet representatives from both Palagi Marine Lights and Espen Øino International.

The launch also gives the supplier a direct route to the designers, yards and technical teams attending Monaco during the same week. Rather than presenting a single project-specific installation, the two companies are positioning PEØ as a repeatable product family for future large-yacht specifications.

Palagi marks 70 years in marine lighting

The Monaco presentation coincides with Palagi Marine Lights’ 70th anniversary in 2026. The Viareggio-area manufacturer has built its business around marine luminaires and customised lighting hardware, making the new design partnership part of a broader anniversary programme.

For the superyacht supply chain, the collaboration is another example of design studios extending their role into individual onboard products rather than concentrating only on exterior styling and interior architecture. The first three PEØ fittings will show how that approach translates into production hardware when they are presented during Monaco Yacht Show week.
