Raymarine has expanded LightHouse Charts GEN2 with new regional coverage, updated hydrographic data and online chart management for Axiom systems.

New regions broaden Axiom chart coverage

Raymarine has expanded its LightHouse Charts GEN2 portfolio with additional regional coverage for Axiom navigation systems. New chart areas include Chile and Peru alongside Japan, with further regions planned as the GEN2 catalogue continues to grow.

The company says Argentina and Uruguay, China and Hong Kong, and Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei are among the areas being added to the wider programme. The expansion gives more owners access to Raymarine’s current-generation chart format without relying on third-party cartography for every cruising region.

Official hydrographic data remains the foundation

LightHouse Charts GEN2 is built around official hydrographic sources and combines navigation data with additional presentation and planning tools. Raymarine has focused on making the charts faster to use on Axiom displays while keeping familiar symbols and depth information available to bridge teams.

Most current titles include a year of chart updates, helping crews keep regional data current during a cruising season. Updates can be managed through Raymarine’s online Chart Manager rather than requiring a completely new card whenever revisions become available.

Global cruising demands easier chart management

For yachts operating across multiple jurisdictions, chart administration can become a recurring bridge task as cruising plans change. Expanding the first-party catalogue reduces the number of separate providers that may be needed when a vessel moves between continents or seasonal operating areas.

The continued GEN2 rollout also strengthens Raymarine’s broader Axiom ecosystem by pairing its hardware and LightHouse operating system with an increasingly global cartography offering. That integration can simplify purchasing, updating and support for owners who already use Raymarine electronics throughout the yacht.
